De Giorgi” in Lecce, was invited
A WORKSHOP: An intensive tuition by actors to train
participants in order to get good practices that could
be later performed in the students’ activities in each school.
A final discussion on the results. The Theatre Workshop
was held on 19 September by two experts Angelantonio
De Nitto theatre director and actor and Emanuela Gabrieli,
actress and singer.
In the morning the participants were guided on a training
course for the awakening of their own body followed by a
dance exercise in a circle aimed at rediscovering listening, overcoming their physical limits and strengthening their ability to get involved. The exercises also explored their relationship with space and with others people, the ability to interact with rhythms, with volumes and different frequencies.
The afternoon workshop activity started with a short presentation related to singing, each participant had to introducehimself/herself to the group by singing a piece of music.
After that they worked on the exploration of vocalism,
resonators and an exercise of choral rhythm composition.
The participants were given a theme and they were asked
to work on it in couple or individually for few minutes.
Then they showed their performances based on improvisation
to the group. The final step was a group discussion on the
themed improvisations. Both teachers and students participated
in it.
The cultural activities included: a Traditional Dance Lab to
introduce the partners to our local traditions; a sightseeing tour
of Lecce; a trip to Salento coast to visit OTRANTO’s art treasure:
the precious mosaic on the floor of the Cathedral.
The meeting with the Mayor of Lecce was an important opportunity
to present and disseminate our project and to talk about the great
value of Erasmus+ project in the life of young generations.
In spite in Italy there was a TPM, the Italian students hosted
some Dutch students to return the kind hospitality they received
during the short-term exchange of groups of students in
Netherlands.
